Resident Responsibilities

The following is an overview of each resident’s general responsibilities while living within a Choices home. Further specifics are available within the House Contract as well as in individual consultations with Choices Staff.

  • Residents will start with a 30-day probationary period upon arrival at Choices.
  • Residents must actively seek employment or perform volunteer work from 9am to 3pm, Monday through Friday. Verification of activities is required.
  • Employment must be obtained within 14 days of arrival at Choices.
  • Residents must choose a home group.
  • Residents must select a sponsor.
  • Residents must schedule a drug and alcohol evaluation.
  • Residents must attend weekly house meetings on Sunday evenings.
  • Residents must attend a minimum of 90 AA/NA meetings within their initial 90 days of residency. After 90 days, a minimum of 5 meetings per week is required. Attendance will be reviewed and each house meeting.
  • Residents must adhere to house curfew.
  • Residents will be responsible for completing assigned chores.
